Thoughts from 2000 miles away
Well, Arnold's now the Governor-elect over in Calimifornia. I wish him the best of luck. I know he's surrounded himself with an able staff through the campaign. I hope he surrounds himself with good people, though knows it's his job to lead them and not the other way around.
A few thoughts before I stop thinking about the recall and start thinking about all the inevitable lawsuits that should start emerging any day now concerning unfair voting practices and especially all the confusion that a lot of Latino voters seemed to have had with improper polling locations and whatnot.
Here's Warren, who's feeling a bit smug.
And SKBubba, who's feeling quite a bit pessimistic about the whole mess. He's right, though. The only thing that got people out to vote was Arnold. And it's not necessarily a good thing when celebrity wins you an election.
And Emily, who was against the recall on the whole, but who has a nice thought on the democratic process in general.
And Say Uncle, who puts it succinctly.
It's all been fun and games. Now, California's in a pretty decent mess. Let's see what you can do with it.
And hopefully, we'll be done with all these headlines like "Terminated" and "Davis Totally Recalled."
