New Sounds Stadium

They're saying right now on the late news that tomorrow will bring the official announcement of the construction of a new baseball stadium in downtown Nashville for the Sounds. The site is the old thermal transfer plant downtown.

It's part of a whole downtown revitalization dealie.

Hurrah. I guess.

It'll be at least a year, and probably two, granted.

I'm not sure I'm entirely happy about it. When the official announcement comes forth, and I have something in front of me to read, and I'll be able to explain why.

But on the other hand, I can't say I'll miss relatively lovely Greer Stadium all that much.
