Cubs and Palmeiro

I write this without having looked at ESPN or Sportsline to see if Palmeiro has ultimately rejected the trade or decided to go to a contender...but I don't think I'd mind too much if Rafy came over.

I mean, I want Big Choi in the lineup as much as anybody, but if we're serious about trying to win a World Series, let's get a proven big left handed bat to go in there with Moises and Sammy and let Big Choi get some at bats down at Triple A.

If it was me, and I were making millions of dollars, I think I could deal with being away from my family for a couple of months if it meant possibly winning a World Series ring.

But that's just me.
