Additions, Corrections and Retractions
1. My new read is Musings of a Philosophical Scrivener, who is, like me, a member of the Rocky Top Brigade. He is a Cardinals fan, but we won't hold that against him...yet. I enjoyed this quote from his 8/24 post:
There are three things that the average man thinks he can do better than anybody else: build a fire, run a hotel and manage a baseball team.
--Rocky Bridges
2. Also, Bubba asked in the response section to my Letterman post about my letter that got read on the air: It was in February of 1996, and it was about a dream that I really had dreamt about fighting a friend of mine with Dave in a "Pizza Tank." It was an odd dream, and I felt Dave should know. And much to my surprise, he read my letter on the air. There was a segment where Dave said that Tommy was in the audience, and when "I" stood up to wave, the cops swarmed and tackled him, and dragged him from the room.
I was able to get a copy of the episode from a guy who had, up to that time, taped every Letterman since 1985. I found him on the usenet alt.fan.letterman group, and all it cost me was postage. He sent me the tape and everything.
3. No, I was not praying to Henry Winkler. That would be ridiculous. I was praying to Fonzie.
4. I would like to retract the statements I made between 12/16/02 and 3/9/03. They were blatant, baldfaced lies, and I will not stand for that sort of crap here!
